How to Upgrade a Cars Listing on KSL

Open Upgrades Featured CARFAX Report Boost Payment

Help your KSL Cars listing stand out with Featured placement, a CARFAX report, or a Boost. You can choose any combination of upgrades and skip the ones you do not want.

The upgrade process has four steps

Choose Featured placement, add a CARFAX report, schedule a Boost, and review payment. The Total Charges bar updates as you make your selections.

Open Your Listing

On the mobile app

Open the KSL Classifieds app and tap My Account.
Tap My Listings.
Select the Cars tab.
Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) next to the listing you want to upgrade, then tap Upgrade.

On KSL.com

Open the Cars menu at the top of KSL.com.
Click My Listings.
Find the listing you want to upgrade, then click Upgrade.

Note: Once you open the upgrade screen, “select” means tap in the app or click on KSL.com.

1. Choose Featured Placement

A Featured upgrade places your listing in a featured slot in Cars search results on your selected dates. Featured listings rotate with other featured listings, so your listing may not appear in the same spot every time someone searches.

Before choosing your dates

Each Featured upgrade expires at midnight on the day it is applied.
After 12:00 p.m. Mountain Time, you cannot add Featured placement for that same day.

Select Yes.
Select Feature Date(s).
On the Date Selection calendar, choose each day you want your listing featured. Past dates are crossed out and cannot be selected.
Select Select to save your dates. Select Reset to clear your selections, or Cancel to go back.
Select Next.

To skip Featured placement: Select No.

2. Choose a CARFAX Report

A CARFAX report adds the vehicle’s history to your listing. Buyers can open it from the View CARFAX Report link on your listing. The report is valid for 120 days from the purchase date.

To add a report, select Yes.
To skip this upgrade, select No.

3. Schedule a Boost

A Boost resets your listing’s date and brings it back to the top of the list. You can boost a listing once every three days.

Select Yes.
On the Date Selection calendar, choose the day or days you want your listing boosted.
Select Select to save your dates.

To skip a Boost: Select No.

4. Review Your Cart and Pay

The Shopping Cart shows the upgrades you selected, their prices, and any scheduled dates.

Review your upgrades and dates. Select Edit next to an item to change its dates, or select the trash icon to remove it.
Check the amount shown in Total Charges.
Select Pay Now.
Choose a payment method from the available options at checkout.
Select the Pay button displaying your total to complete your purchase.

Need to change an earlier selection? Use Back, where available, to return to a previous step before completing your purchase.
